Nelda Arzella Todd Knott, 94, of Evansville, passed away surrounded by family Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born August 14, 1929 in Evansville to the late Carrie and Alfred Tatum.

Nelda graduated from Central High School and worked as a legal secretary for Lopp & Lopp Attorneys for 25 years. She then worked at Loge Bsport and Mead Johnson. Nelda was a former member of St. Benedict Cathedral where she married her husband, Wallace Todd. Nelda and Wallace were married 28 years and raised three daughters before he passed away in 1992. She was also a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Nelda was later married to Gerald “Jerry” Knott for 13 years before his passing in 2010.

Nelda is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Steve) Russ and Susan Dalton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special nephew, Mike Gibson.

In addition to her parents, Nelda was preceded in death by her husbands, Wallace Todd and Jerry Knott; and daughter, Theresa Hartley.

Private services were held at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements have been handled by Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel.

Zelda was buried next to Wallace Todd at St. Joseph Cemetery.
