Cheryl Lynn Barnett, 66, of Evansville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Cheryl was born in Tell City, Indiana on January 29, 1957 to the late Harold and Clara Mae (Reed) Hess. She worked as a control operator for Center Point Energy, most recently at the AB Brown Power Plant. Cheryl would do anything to help anyone and loved spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors, cutting grass, doing landscaping and loved her dog, Maggie.

Surviving Cheryl are her husband of 32 years, Mark Barnett; three sons and their wives, Luke and Katie Barnett, Matt and Ginger Barnett and Nick and Erika Barnett; grandchildren, Nolan, Jake, Gavin, Lucy, Emma, Annabelle and Josephine Barnett and a brother and his wife, Raymond and Diane Powers.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Hess and by brothers, Gary Powers, Ronald Powers, Harold Hess, Jr, Larry Hess and Tom Hess.

Funeral services for Cheryl will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Tom Kessler officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
