Staff report
Evansville Courier & Press

The round-the-clock online news cycle has made digital products the first choice for breaking-news, and print subscribers are increasingly engaging digitally. As such, the Courier & Press will be putting renewed emphasis on the printed newspaper as a place readers can dive into local news with more impact and context, feel-good community features, sports analysis and commentary 鈥 the stories you can鈥檛 get anywhere else.聽

Like many other newspaper publishers, Gannett Co. Inc., which operates more than 200 daily local newspapers including the Courier & Press, has already successfully introduced the approach in dozens of markets across the country, and is expanding the initiative.聽聽聽

鈥淔or many years now, the printed newspaper has served as a culmination of the stories that will become our collective history, while our websites and mobile apps deliver the news of the day,鈥 said Michael A. Anastasi, VP of Local 国产自拍 for Gannett. 鈥淲e know that by the time our informed readers pick up the paper, they know what happened yesterday 鈥 the print newspaper should provide additional context, to help readers better understand their community and the world around them.鈥澛
