The standout individual performances continued throughout Southwestern Indiana in the first round of the sectional.

Ty Brown, South Spencer

The junior had five total touchdowns plus registered 12 tackles, two interceptions and a safety on defense in a 36-33 sectional loss to No. 8 Springs Valley.

Sean DeLong, Gibson Southern

The senior had 97 rushing yards and two touchdowns while setting the program record for career all-purpose yards in a 40-7 sectional win over Mount Vernon.

Luke Ellspermann, Memorial

The junior was 12 of 15 passing for 122 yards and three touchdowns, plus 91 rushing yards and one score in a 38-8 sectional win over Central.

Xander Hunt, Vincennes Lincoln

The senior quarterback only attempted six passes but completed four, all touchdowns, for 122 yards in a 54-0 sectional win over Owen Valley.

Hunter Meredith, Heritage Hills

The junior had 178 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns (interception, punt return) for the Patriots in a 51-14 sectional win over Charlestown.
