EVANSVILLE — And then there were three.
We've reached the penultimate week of the high school football season in Indiana and a Pocket Athletic Conference trio has advanced to the semistate round of the IHSAA tournament. Southwestern Indiana is guaranteed to have at least one team compete for a state title next weekend in Indianapolis — there could be two.
In Class 3A, No. 6 Gibson Southern will travel to No. 7 Heritage Hills on Friday night in a rare conference rematch this deep into the playoffs. Then on Saturday, No. 4-ranked North Posey will host Southmont in Class 2A with a trip to state on the line.
